Africa has recorded the highest aviation accident rate in the world in 2025, according to the latest data released by the International Air Transport Association (IATA), raising concerns about the safety and operational challenges within the continent’s air transport sector.

The Commissioner of Police in Lagos, Olohundare Jimoh, has called for transparency and fairness in the ongoing police constable screening exercise, urging officials involved to ensure the recruitment process is conducted with integrity and professionalism.

The Lagos State Police Command assured the public that the screening process would be closely monitored to ensure fairness, credibility, and equal opportunity for all eligible applicants.

A fire incident occurred at the office complex of the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation in Abuja on Sunday morning, prompting a swift response from emergency officials and security personnel.
