FAAN Unveils Reviewed Service Charter to Boost Transparency and Service Delivery

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has unveiled its reviewed Service Charter in a renewed effort to enhance transparency, accountability, safety, and professionalism within Nigeria’s aviation sector.

The revised document was officially presented by Mrs. Fransisca Adediji, who represented the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development (FMA&AD). Mrs. Adediji, the Acting Director of Reform Coordination and Service Improvement at the ministry, led the unveiling ceremony on behalf of the Permanent Secretary.

She was joined by the Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection at FAAN, Mr. Henry Agbebire; the Head of Operations at the SERVICOM Office, Mrs. Ngozi Akinbogewa, who represented the National Coordinator of SERVICOM; and FAAN’s Nodal Officer and General Manager, Customer Service, Mrs. Monica Alphonse, alongside other senior officials.

Speaking at the event, officials emphasized that the reviewed Service Charter reflects FAAN’s commitment to improved service delivery and operational excellence across the nation’s airports. The document outlines clear service standards and responsibilities designed to strengthen consumer confidence and institutional accountability.

The updated charter is also expected to align FAAN’s operations with global best practices in airport management, reinforcing Nigeria’s drive toward a safer, more efficient, and customer-focused aviation industry.

Industry stakeholders have described the development as a strategic move aimed at consolidating reforms within the sector and ensuring that airport users experience measurable improvements in service quality nationwide.
