Africa Magic, in collaboration with MultiChoice, has officially opened entries for the 12th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA), marking the beginning of another season dedicated to celebrating excellence in African film and television.
The submission window runs from January 11 to February 15, 2026, and is open to African films, television series, and other eligible screen content that were aired or publicly screened between January 1 and December 31, 2025. Filmmakers, producers, and content creators across the continent are encouraged to submit their works for consideration.
The AMVCA remains one of Africa’s most influential entertainment award platforms, recognising outstanding achievements in acting, directing, writing, cinematography, and overall production quality. Over the years, the awards have played a major role in promoting African stories, amplifying diverse voices, and elevating the global visibility of the continent’s creative industry.
The 12th edition is expected to feature multiple award categories spanning jury-decided honours, audience-voted awards, and special recognitions that celebrate long-standing contributions and emerging talents within the industry. Organisers say the awards will continue to reflect Africa’s rich cultural diversity and evolving storytelling landscape.
