The National Association of Nigeria Travel Agencies (NANTA) and Turkish Airlines’ management are in talks to explore ways of engaging in a partnership for mutual benefit.
The NANTA team, led by its President, Yinka Folami, recently visited Istanbul, Turkey, for a 5-day business meeting.
Speaking via a press statement, NANTA revealed that it intends to impact and highlight new areas of collaboration between the two sister organisations, especially in areas that will open new streams of income for its members.
NANTA disclosed that even though a business meeting with the management of Turkish Airlines is considered a priority by the association, its delegation also plans to meet with travel trade groups in Nigeria.
According to Yinka, the relationship will preserve the future of Nigerian travellers, and it is definitely a timely coming together because NANTA is very committed to guaranteeing the steady growth of Nigeria’s travel trade professionals.
He maintained that the meeting would focus on discussing strategies to enhance the airline’s robust presence as the first choice of Nigerian passengers.
Stressing that the partnership is a great opportunity that must be grabbed with both hands, Folami said that he hopes other players in the sector can emulate the transformative milestone to safeguard the future of the industry.
“This is a relationship made for the future, carefully curated to make the Nigerian travel trade market strong and robust. We are here to listen and learn.
It is an opportunity that we cannot toy with because it is a huge investment in our future by Turkish Airlines, and we hope our other principals will emulate this transformative milestone,” he said.
