Lagos Ambulance Service Reports Zero In-Transit Deaths in 2022 and 2025.

The Lagos State Ambulance Service (LASAMBUS) has released its performance report for the years 2021 to 2025, showcasing an impressive record of efficiency and lifesaving interventions. Out of 45,277 emergency calls received, LASAMBUS successfully responded to 44,152.

A total of 36,919 patients were treated during the period, including 11,200 patients in 2023 alone. Remarkably, the service recorded zero in-transit deaths in both 2022 and 2025 — a testament to its skilled personnel and rapid response capabilities.

The service completed 931 field assignments with the support of 196 dedicated staff members, including 64 nurses, 74 Community Health Extension Workers (CHEWs), 70 trained ambulance pilots, and other essential support staff.

In emergencies, Lagos residents are reminded to call the toll-free emergency lines 767 or 112.
