The Secretary to the State Government, Dr Folashade Arike, disclosed this during a thanksgiving programme held in honour of the former speaker of the state House of Assembly, Mathew Kolawole, at Christ Apostolic Church, Ona Igbala, Kabba.
“The monthly release will give room for local government pensioners to receive the sum of at least N100,000, or N200,000 and at most N500,000 from their gratuities,” she said.
She further stated that the governor had added N10,000 each to the monthly pension.
The SSG assured that pensions would continue to be paid monthly as when due.
