In a statement, the NAF expressed regret over the incident and assured the public that a thorough investigation has been ordered to determine the circumstances surrounding the airstrike. It added that findings from the probe would guide appropriate actions to prevent a recurrence.

Local sources said the victims were residents of the affected community, with children among those injured. They were reportedly receiving medical attention at nearby health facilities.
