Tinubu Leads Nigeria’s Green Transition Drive in Abu Dhabi.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has taken Nigeria’s green transition agenda to the global stage, leading high-level engagements in Abu Dhabi aimed at attracting investment and strengthening partnerships in renewable energy and climate action.

Speaking during meetings with international stakeholders, President Tinubu highlighted Nigeria’s commitment to a cleaner energy future, stressing the country’s vast potential in solar, gas-to-power transition, and other sustainable energy solutions. He noted that Nigeria’s green transition is central to economic growth, job creation, and long-term energy security.

The President emphasized ongoing reforms in the energy and climate sectors, including policies designed to encourage private sector participation, boost investor confidence, and support the gradual shift from fossil fuel dependence to cleaner alternatives. He also underscored Nigeria’s resolve to meet global climate obligations while safeguarding development priorities.

Officials accompanying the President said the Abu Dhabi engagements provided an opportunity to showcase Nigeria’s Energy Transition Plan and explore financing options for large-scale renewable projects, infrastructure development, and climate-resilient initiatives.
