DAPPMAN Members Supply 60% of Nigeria’s Petroleum Products — Association.

The Depot and Petroleum Products Marketers Association of Nigeria (DAPPMAN) has reaffirmed its central role in the country’s fuel supply chain, revealing that its members currently account for about 60 per cent of petroleum products consumed nationwide.

The association made this disclosure while highlighting the critical contribution of private depot owners and marketers to ensuring the steady availability of petrol, diesel, aviation fuel, and other petroleum products across Nigeria. According to DAPPMAN, its members operate strategically located depots and distribution networks that support seamless fuel supply to all regions of the country.

DAPPMAN noted that the association has continued to play a stabilising role in the downstream sector, especially amid ongoing reforms in Nigeria’s petroleum industry. It stressed that private sector participation remains essential in bridging supply gaps, maintaining market balance, and preventing fuel scarcity.

The association further emphasized its commitment to working closely with relevant government agencies and regulators to improve efficiency, enhance safety standards, and ensure transparent operations within the sector. It also called for sustained policy consistency to encourage investment and strengthen infrastructure across the downstream value chain.
