
Kenya Airways, in partnership with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, convened key aviation stakeholders in Nairobi for a landmark roundtable aimed at shaping Africa’s sustainable aviation future. The high-level meeting focused on charting the continent’s first low carbon aviation fuel roadmap a crucial step toward driving investment, production, and widespread adoption of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) across Africa.
The roundtable brought together industry leaders, policymakers, and sustainability experts to explore practical pathways for reducing the sector’s carbon footprint. Discussions centered on policy alignment, technological innovation, and regional collaboration to accelerate the transition to greener skies.
Kenya Airways Group Managing Director and CEO, Allan Kilavuka, underscored the importance of shared responsibility in achieving this vision. He noted that collaboration among airlines, regulators, and local communities is essential to creating lasting environmental impact and ensuring a sustainable future for African aviation.
