The attention of the Management of the Federal Polytechnic Offa has been drawn to a suspension rumour of the Students’ Union President published and circulated on social media, prominently on Facebook.
The fake and misleading report alleged that the Rector, Bursar, and Head of Entrepreneurship Development Centre authenticated the suspension based on embezzlement, theft, and mismanagement of school funds.
Emphatically, the Management neither authenticate nor sign any suspension letter of the Students’ Union President. The suspension report is fake, mischievous and therefore, should be outrightly discarded.
The Directorate of Students’ Affairs serves as the link between the Students’ Union and the Management; the Management has never received any report of mismanagement, embezzlement, or theft from the Dean of Students’ Affairs concerning the Students’ Union President or any executive.

The institution’s Disciplinary Committee is responsible for giving a fair hearing, and sanctioning of students found guilty of any offense without prejudice.
While the Polytechnic management distances itself from the suspension of SUG President as reported, the institution’s Disciplinary Committee will not hesitate to communicate the public on any matter relating to sanction or suspension of any student found guilty of gross misconduct as a law-abiding and reputable institution.
Thank you.
